What Data We Collect
Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, store, or access any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs that gather data about you.
What's Stored on Your Device
PrayerJar stores the following data locally on your device only, using SQLite:
- Prayer requests you create
- Journal entries
- Scripture references
- Cadence and rhythm settings
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud service, not sent to our servers (we don't have any), and not shared with anyone — because we have no means to access it.
Data Retention
Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you.
Children's Privacy
PrayerJar is designed for Christian families and is appropriate for all ages. However, the app is not specifically directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — children or adults — because we do not collect personal information at all. All data remains on the device under the control of the device owner.
Third Parties
We do not use:
- Analytics tools
- Advertising networks
- Crash reporting services that transmit data off-device
- Any third-party SDKs that collect user data
PrayerJar is built with React Native and Expo. Standard platform behavior (iOS/Android OS-level telemetry) is outside our control and governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.
Your Rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to provide, delete, or correct. Your data is yours — it lives on your device, and you control it entirely.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how PrayerJar handles data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date. Any meaningful change will be noted in the app's release notes.
